These family photos were taken at Elm Creek Park Reserve in Maple Grove, MN during the fall. Most of the photos are front-lit, giving that soft golden hour glow.
A challenge I overcame during the shoot: I did my first head swap in Photoshop with one of these photos! Sometimes you'll take 40 pictures of people in the same position and there isn't one where everyone's eyes are open and their facial expressions mesh. Learning to combine two images is the perfect solution.
What I loved most about this shoot: Interacting with these kiddos and taking shots of them hanging out in the field. I really loved watching them loosen up with me. I also loved the pop of the bright red!
